Camiguin Trip

Last May 20-22, 2011, I had my first-ever trip to Camiguin! Yes, I travel there together with my youngest brother Chieng2x, Papa, and his officemates.

A week ago or so, I told father that we should go to Midway Beach since I wanted badly to swim in the white sand beach but he told me that we can't because he'll be leaving to Camiguin on the weekend. They'll be having a tour there. 

"I'll go with you to Camiguin!" I quipped.

"You really want to go with me?" asked Papa.

"Yes!" 

Of course, I really wanted to go there because I haven't been there. They say that Camiguin has nice beaches like the White Island. A picture of a white sandy beach appear in my mind. Oh, just the thought of it excites me.

Friday came and it's the day that we'll be leaving for Camiguin. I didn't expect that my little brother is going with us because days before, when we asked him if he'd liked to go with us to Camiguin, he said he don't want to if Mama will not go too. We are even convincing him to go with us to Camiguin but he always say, "Ma, uban lang ta sa Camiguin..." Truly, I can say he's a "Mama's boy". He always clings to Mama.But on that morning, I was surprised when I saw his bag ready for Camiguin. Ah-okayy....

**2 hours travel from CDO to Balingoan. We rode in an aircon bachelor. Yeah! Road trip!!! =)

**then 1 hour travel from Balingoan to Benoni, Camiguin. We rode in a so-called 'lansa' or ferry. Well, it's my first time to rode in that kind of ferry. It's like a small barge. I have rode on a ship for countless times but not on a 'lansa'. Well, it still feels like riding on a ship though.

** After an hour, we're there at CAMIGUIN. Yes. "Nakatunob rajud ko sa Camiguin! "I thought.
** We went to Lagoon, at the J&A Fishpen. That'll be our staying place from Friday up to Sunday.
** Well, it's a seafood restaurant with a lodge.

random thought in summer

One year and a day ago, I was posting here in my blog about me being home alone while all of my family members were having a vacation in my Father's province, Bohol. I was kinda lonely that time. Well, of course coz i was just all by myself.

This time around, I'm still left at home but with my brother next to me. Yep..only the two of us were left. The reason why we choose to stay is because...brother is busy with his career in YFC while me, I'm supposed to attend a seminar/training as ORSEM Volunteers but I knocked it down. I lose the opportunity but it's okay with me. Days before, when I was still at Camiguin, Mom told Dad that I should be going to Bohol with them but i refuse because first of all, I don't have enough clothings for Bohol since I only brought enough for Camiguin and second, I still got things to do in CDO. And so, I didn't go to Bohol with dad and chieng2x....

I went home here in CDO together with my dad's officemates. I felt sad because I didn't go with dad. Part of me wants to go there and part of me wants to go home. This is my 2nd summer that I didn't go there.Oh, I miss the place. I wonder how it looks like by now. I can only cling on the memories and the pictures since I left there.

Even though I didn't go home to the province, I enjoy my stay at home. It feels unusual because the house is unusually quiet and empty.

It's still summer (even though it starts to rain everyday). So, I must enjoy it. Nyahaha. yah.
